[h3]Photography[/h3]

Two bachelor’s degrees are offered through this department. The BA in Photography is comprehensive and explores all aspects of the field. Meanwhile, a BA in Photojournalism focuses on how photographs are used in documentation, news presentation, features and editorials.

[h3]Surface Pattern Design and Textile Surfaces[/h3]

Surface pattern designers work on everything from ceramics to gift-card design. It’s a fascinating area of study with a strong interdisciplinary edge. Textiles surface designers deal even more directly with tactile surfaces, manipulating fabric and other surfaces to design decorations and textures in textiles.

[h3]3D Design[/h3]

3D Design is as creative and conceptual as it is hands-on and practical. Designers craft ornaments, jewelry and ceramic objects, among many others. There are three bachelor’s degrees on offer through this department: crafts; ceramics; and contemporary jewelry and fashion design.

[h3]Drama and Theatre[/h3]

Staffordshire offers bachelor of arts degrees in two major categories: Drama, Performance and Theatre as well as Theatre Studies and Technical Stage Production. The university’s approach emphasizes practicing the methodology of mainstream professional theatre.

[h3]Animation and VFX[/h3]

Students literally start animating from the first day of class. Coursework focuses on the production of short and compelling animations – anything from expressive works of art to advertisements. Streams of study include traditional animation; stop motion animation and puppet making; and visual effects and concept design.
