Staffordshire Arts is very, very, (VERY) excited to learn that one of the most breathtaking pieces of high energy, hi-tech, aerial high wire theatrical storytelling that you are every likely to see is coming to Stoke-on-Trent.
The awesome Wired Aerial Theatre Company will be bringing their latest spectacle to Staffordshire as part of their world tour and as part of Appetite – North Staffordshire’s tasty £3million arts council funded 3 year arts programme in Stoke-on-Trent.

The gasp-inducing show, called ‘As The World Tipped’ – currently touring the world, and wowing the crowds wherever it plays, is truly is spectacular stuff and described as ‘A real life disaster movie in the sky’.
Using a mammoth video screen as a stage – which starts off horizontal, but ends up completely vertical forcing the exceptionally fearless performers to deliver some serious high flying magic, (some in high heels!!), scaling it, flying around it (and each other) and literally hanging on for dear life, while at the same time telling a powerful story.
[blockquote]It really is going to be an unmissable visual treat for Staffordshire, that will quite literally take your breath away.[/blockquote]
The dazzling Spectacle is performed by Wired Aerial Theatre and Written and directed by Nigel Jamieson who has created world famous performance events for Sydney Olympic and , Liverpool Capital of Culture.
Wired Aerial Theatre are pioneers in their art form, and who’s live shows combine everything from from contemporary dance and physical theatre, to flying, gymnastics and climbing.
[blockquote]The most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. Nothing has moved me like that. As The World Tipped was one of the most spectacular events I’ve seen for a long time – and a serious message.[/blockquote]
[blockquote]Before watching this performance I had never seen anything like this in my life. It was absolutely fantastic, awesome, perfect and amazing.[/blockquote]
