Calling all Makers and Maker Fans… Stoke-on-Trent Libraries arre holding Staffordshire’s very first MakeFest in May
The ‘Maker movement’ is gathering momentum both in the UK and internationally, and there are hundreds of creative people in Staffordshire who are contributing to this in their own unique ways.
The first MakeFest will be held at City Central Library, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent on Wednesday 31st May 2017 9am to 4pm. Just turn up
Local makers will be showcasing what they have stitched, soldered, hammered, coded, created, built, demonstrating their latest greatest Staffordshire Made project.
Makefest Stoke-on-Trent will bring together the best that the city has to offer in terms of technology, engineering, science and creative art; it will be an exhibition and celebration of projects and ideas, both large and small, that are happening in and around Stoke-on-Trent.
Get Involved
And if you are a maker, you could get involved. Organisers are looking for cool projects, activities and demos that will inspire people to get creative themselves.
- Would you like to inspire them and others to start projects of their own?
- Could you provide that missing bit of knowledge to finish a project?
- Do you want the opportunity to show hundreds of people how to do that thing you do?
- Are you looking to crowdsource an answer to a problem that’s been bugging you?
Hi tech or low tech, big or small, finished item or a work in progress, then get involved. To be involved as a maker apply before Sat 29 April 2017 here
