I promise that you will not regret spending the few minutes in takes to experience this wonderful piece if work
Pieces of art, writing, poems or films about the experiences of childhood bullying, are nothing new – and there has been some amazing and inspirational examples produced over the years.
But here we have found one of the best examples ever created, combining beautiful animation with the spine tingling words of Shane Koyczan’s poem, “To This Day”, about the life long effects of bullying, spoken in his own words.
What is even more inspirational is how the film was actually created. The piece combines the work of many different animators all of whom submitted their own entries, each creating unique 20 second segments that flow together into a one emotionally charged narrative.
The finished piece not only now gives us, schools, parents and anti-bullying organisations a superb tool to use as a catalyst to tackle the subject matter, but also demonstrates what a community of caring creatives are capable of when they come together. You must watch this.
