To support Staffordshire Universities new Cartoon and Comic Arts degree, they have made available a brand new post to lead the development and delivery of the degree award course.
The Cartoon and Comic Arts degree at Staffordshire University is a new award that enables students to develop and define their skills in visual and narrative communication through specialist platforms including digital imaging, publication design and graphic novels, life drawing, animation, storyboarding, print making and 3D craft.
The candidate will need solid skills in cartooning, comics and graphic novels combined with proven teaching experience. The post requires engagement with a wide range of professionals, and a dynamic individual is required who can build upon and continue to drive this highly creative award programme that encourages visual storytelling and the importance of drawing and visualising the narrative
The post, to be based at the faculty of Arts & Creative Technologies in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, offers an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in profiling this unique, innovative and energetic award both nationally and internationally.
