A fantastic opportunity for three artists or arts organisations to develop exciting and inspiring art initiatives delivered across Royal Stoke University Hospital between December 2015 and February 2016.
Appetite – the Creative People and Places programme for North Staffordshire are looking to appoint three artist(s)/art organisations to design and deliver projects in a range of art forms working with patients and staff in the following three clinical areas of the Royal Stoke University Hospital:
1. Live art, dance, music or performance based commission (including poetry and storytelling) working with patients in the Stroke and Elective Orthopedics wards.
2. Public Art (wall based) commission in Minor Injuries Department (part of the Emergency Department) – this could include photography, painting, printmaking, graphic and illustration, ceramic and textile wall based work.
3. Socially engaged arts and research commission in Neonatal Unit – open to all art forms leading to outcomes which staff can use with future parents and siblings. This could include some form of publication, animation, on-line platform, game or film.
This is the second year Appetite Stoke has supported the development of the UHNM’s emerging Art Programme.
