Take a once-in-a-lifetime selfie on the moon’s surface at an exciting exhibition at Lichfield Cathedral that is out of this world.
‘One Small Step’ is an installation artwork by Lichfield Cathedral Artist-in-Residence Peter Walker and will give visitors the opportunity to walk on the moon as Cathedral Nave floor is transformed into a lunar landscape.

This installation allows us to contemplate and observe one of the most significant journeys that humanity has taken and allows us to imagine possibilities for humankind.
‘One Small Step’ is Open Saturday 20 July – Wednesday 25 September 2019 with FREE admission
It will also feature in The Lichfield Cathedral Film Festival and The Great Exhibition 2019: SPACE: God, The Universe and Everything.

About the Artist
As a sculptor and artist Peter Walker’s work adorns towns and cities both nationally and internationally.
His art work consists of large-scale sculpture, commissioned and bespoke sculptural works as well as paintings, drawings, film, sound and light installations. Peter has vast experience in artistic direction / project management and large scale project development.
Peter is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors.
