Ahead of the ‘Robbie Willams Fan Fest’ going on in Stoke-on-Trent to celebrate the singers 40th Birthday, tha man himself wrote an open letter to the people from his home town region, thanking them and apologising for not being able to be there in person.  he finished his heartfelt nod to the place he calls home, by posting a fantatic song on his blog, penned and sung by up and coming Staffordshire Singwriter Shae Maunders.  Perhaps one day we may see a duet?  Watch this space

Robbie turns 40 on February 13 and organisers of the Robbie Williams Fan Fest want to mark the occasion with month-long exhibitions and a weekend of Robbie-themed activities centred on Burslem.

The festival will raise money for the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice (DLCH) at Trentham Lakes, of which Robbie is a patron.

Two exhibitions can be enjoyed as part of the celebration of one of Stokes most famous exports.

At Burslem School Of Art are over 70 original works of art depicting the life of Robbie – on until 28 February 2014.

While over at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery you can enjoy a showcase of memorobilia, with amy items donated by his family, and by Robbie himself.

Jan Williams, mother of Robbie, was quoted as saying

[blockquote]He’s over the moon about it – he always loves to say he’s a Stokie blokie – and I think it’s a really great idea.[/blockquote]
