The arts team in East Staffordshire are in search of three Storytellers who will collect and collate tales that uncover the diverse and rich heritage of the region and gather stories about the world famous Burton upon Trent’s brewing heritage of the 60s and 70s
The trio of storysmiths will work with older generations in the community and run inspiring events to engage with the public. They will the record the stories and collate them in both audio and written formats. The team will then choose and edit a seclection of the collection to be published in a new book and used in live community storytelling performance events.

Each Storyteller will need to have had previous expereince of working woth the community to collect and edit stories, and also expereince of using the material gathered to create professional storytelling events.
The fee for the contract is £2650
Broken down as
12 half day sessions paid at £150.
3 whole days editing paid at £200 per day.
1 story telling performance paid at £250.
In addition, mileage will be paid and a small expenses budget will be paid
The Story Wells project is funded by Heritage Lottery and East Staffordshire Borough Council.
