Staffordshire award winning producing theatre-in-the-round, the New Vic Theatre in Newcastle-under-Lyme, is offering up a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes and learn the tricks of the theatrical trade and see what’s involved in getting from ‘page to stage’.
During the open day, on 13 July, visitors will get to access all areas,with backstage tours, lighting displays, interactive workshops, and an array of weird and wonderful stage props to discover. You will also be able learn about costumes, stage design, prop-making, stage management, lighting and sound
The free day is open to absolutely anyone interested in learning more about what goes into the inner workings of a professional producing theatre, and everyone from Staffordshire and beyond is invited to bring along friends and family.
The Open Day takes place from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 13 July and all activities will be free.
